THE TENNIS GARDEN
Largest and most complete tennis complex of any Ritz-Carlton
resort worldwide, with one hard court and ten soft clay Hydrocourts for a
total of eleven courts, which are lit at night.
Designed by tennis legend and current ESPN commentator Cliff
Drysdale, the Tennis Garden's practical and innovative features include using
stucco columns and soft nets as fencing, tall hedges as natural windscreens
and underground irrigation systems to keep the ten clay courts moist throughout
the day.
When not traveling, resident pro Cliff Drysdale, one of the
top 50 tennis players of all time, oversees day-to-day operations, develops
programming and offers videotaped, one-on-one lessons. He is joined by ten
United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) pros on staff.
The Tennis Butler - Guests who want an over-the-top
tennis experience call upon the services of the Tennis Butler, a dedicated
pro who cools guests down with refreshing spritzes of mineral water, offers
cold hand towels, delivers a choice of beverages and offers tennis tips to
improve any game.
Tennis Pro Shop - A completely equipped pro shop is
on site with a collection of designer shirts, shoes, dresses, and assorted
tennis accessories.
Court Fees:
$15 per person per day
Court fees include unlimited play, can of balls, refreshments
and towels.
Racquet Rental: $7 daily
Proper tennis attire is required, including collared shirts
for gentlemen.

$85/Hour or $50 for 1/2 hour: Tennis Instructors
Adult Shot Clinics: Adult shot clinics are designed
to work on every aspect of the game.
Morning clinics are available Monday through Friday from
9 to 10:30 a.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Evening clinics are
available on Monday and Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Friday from 6 to
7:30 p.m.
Balls, refreshments and towels are included.
$35 per session.
Doubles Night every Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday Mixer from 4-6 p.m.
Children's Clinics: A variety of children's clinics
are held according to age and skill level. Children ages three to five can
participate in a
Pee Wee: Ages three to five. 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday
through Thursday.
Thunder: Ages five to nine. 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through
Thursday.
Turbo: Ages nine to 14. 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through
Wednesday. Players from this group with advanced skills will proceed to the
Top Gun clinic, which is held at the same time.
All children's clinics are $20 per session.
