Mima Jausovec

Mima Jaušovec (born July 20, 1956) is a Slovenian female tennis player.

Jaušovec was born in Maribor, Yugoslavia (now Slovenia).

She is best known as the 1977 French Open Woman's Singles Champion, having won the title at Roland Garros. In the following year, 1978, she once again reached the finals but was defeated by Virginia Ruzici, thus failing to retain her title. In 1983 she once again reached the French Open final but lost to American Chris Evert. Her active tennis career spanned fifteen years, from 1973 to 1988.

Today she is a head coach of Slovenian national female tennis team.

Jaušovec was one of the candidates of Liberal Democracy of Slovenia for the 2004 Europarl elections, but did not get elected herself.
