History
Built by Wimberly, Whisenand, Allison, Tong, and Goo Architects,
the hotel opened for business in March 1988. In December 2001, Vail Resorts,
Inc. acquired the hotel and re-branded the property. The Lodge at Rancho
Mirage is currently the flagship property under the luxury resort hotel brand,
RockResorts.

Hotel Overview
The only hotel located atop a 650-foot-high plateau in the
rugged foothills of the Santa Rosa Mountains, the Lodge at Rancho Mirage
is the most refined luxury resort in the Palm Springs area. Accommodations
at the hotel include 240 guest rooms with 21 suites, each offering spectacular
vistas of the Coachella Valley and the distant San Jacinto Mountains. These
include our 20 recently remodeled Lanai rooms and suites. Rooms feature custom
crown molding, fine art, antiques, marble bathrooms, and each has a pair
of French doors leading to either a balcony or patio.
The centerpiece of The Lodge at Rancho Mirage is Avanyu Spa,
which combines the high desert's beauty and tranquility with personalized
programs guaranteed to pamper and rejuvenate the body and soul. Incorporating
the desert flavor into its program, it offers more than 30 treatments, many
with products indigenous to its natural surroundings.
Guests also enjoy tennis, a championship croquet lawn, swimming,
and access to many of the world’s most renowned golf courses, including
the famed Mission Hills Country Club, home of the LPGA event—The Kraft
Nabisco Championship.

The Tennis Center is adjacent to the hotel, equipped with
locker facilities and eight courts that are lit for night use until 10 p.m.
Tennis lessons or the use of our courts can be scheduled
through the guest services staff. To arrange a tennis game, simply
call one day prior, and the Tennis Center staff will arrange a game for you
at your desired difficulty level.
The Lodge at Rancho Mirage features access to the Mission
Hills County Club's tennis center.
