The Tennis Club At Kingsmill
The Kingsmill Tennis Club offers 15 tennis courts, including
six new Hydro Courts,™ with two courts lighted for evening play. A newly
renovated player’s lounge and locker facilities are also provided for
the enjoyment and convenience of guests.
Tennis programs including The Tennis Academy with camps,
private and semi-private lessons, Play with the Pro, Junior Training sessions
and playdays, junior clinics, stroke of the day, videotaping, ball machine,
ball hoppers and racquet rentals are available on a fee basis. An outstanding
matchmaking service is also available. Please call the club prior to or upon
arrival for this service at (757) 253-3945.

Court times are available throughout the day on hard courts
and on clay courts. Reservations are not required but are advised. The daily
court fees are per person each day during your stay at Kingsmill.
Check-in at the Pro Shop is required.
Tennis attire only (no muscle shirts or bathing suits.)
Proper tennis shoes (no running, cross-training or basketball
shoes.)
If a reserved court is unclaimed after ten minutes, the Tennis
Club may assign it to someone waiting. (Applies to individuals and groups.)

Kingsmill's Professional Teaching Staff presents the Kingsmill
Tennis Academy for the tennis enthusiast. In the Academy programs, our philosophy
is to take your game to a new level through fun and exciting drills, video
analysis and on-court strategy sessions. We believe that this is the key
for maximum improvement. Tennis is a lifetime sport and we want to show you
ways to enjoy it more than ever through our Academy programs. You will find
the Kingsmill Professional team friendly, outgoing and ready to take you
to the "top of your game."
Adult Academy
Team or Group Camp for Adults- 1 day or multi-day Camp
1 or 2-day customized camp can be offered to your team or
group for the dates that you request if available. This camp is usually a
shortened version of the adult 3-day camp or the mini-doubles camp and can
involve more strategies with match play. Call or email to discuss dates,
times, and prices. We are happy to accommodate your team!

Come with or without a partner for some great doubles fun.
Fine tune your doubles positioning, strategies, and drills on specific doubles
stroke mechanics. On-court supervised play make this program fun and exciting!

Junior Academy
The Kingsmill Junior Tennis Academy offers camps for ages
8-18 plus the exciting new Junior Training Center for tournament players.
All camps are geared to the level that they are designed for and offer the
player a different perspective of this great game. Players are grouped according
to ability. Our professionals will introduce the game in a fun way while
focusing on their development through on court instruction, conditioning,
fun drills/contests, and match play.
Team or Group Camp for Juniors- 1 day or multi-day Camp

school team or group for the dates that you request if available. This camp
is usually a shortened version of the junior 3-day camp and can involve more

Junior Training Center, - co-sponsored by Prince and
designed for the high school/tournament player ages 13-18. For the serious
tennis player.

We try to instill this belief in every player in the development
of his or her tennis game and in life. In December 2002, the Kingsmill Professional
Staff created the Kingsmill Junior Winter Training Center, an extension of
the already highly successful junior tennis program at Kingsmill. The Training
Center will play a key role in developing high school, and tournament players
to their potential. High-level training and intensity is provided for players
that have a strong desire to pursue tennis to the next level. Our professionals
will help players realize their potential and instill a desire to play at
the next level, be it at the high school, college level, or beyond. This
Training Center is not for beginners or advanced beginners. If you have this
desire, playing ability, and a positive attitude, the professional training
staff welcomes you to this program. A Kingsmill Tennis Professional must
approve all new sign ups.
