We offer full time USPTR and USPTA certified teachers led
by former touring pro David Lampson who comes to us after 7 years as head
teaching professional of tennis at Amelia Island Plantation. The 4 to 1 ratio
is the best in the industry and you will receive a lot of individual instruction.
With Vermont 's spectacular Green Mountains as the backdrop, you will receive
innovative instruction. Killington Tennis at the Cortina Inn offers full
and half-day packages from May through September (packages start any day
of the week and can be for any number of days for any level of play). You
can also add golf, fly-fishing, hiking, mountain biking and walking tours
to our half-day packages. Along with our regular daily schedule we host a
tennis matchmaking center, round robins, pro demos and tournaments that promote
camaraderie. Each evening we have an optional tennis table for dining with
fellow attendees and pros.
At Killington Tennis we go to the causes not the symptoms
of your stroking, and playing skills making lasting changes in your game
within shorter periods of time. We provide a starting point as to which skill
levels you possess in the areas of: The fundamental stroking skills, swinging,
punching, and transition shots, shot blending, tactical awareness, playing,
mental, and preparatory skills.
We develop a customized program designed to take into consideration
your personal goals, time constraints, specific limitations or injuries,
playing style, temperament and personality. Novice players will benefit from
our individualized attention and constant encouragement. Intermediate players
will refine their strokes and be shown how to use their strengths to give
you an advantage every time you walk on the court. Advanced player will further
develop the weapons you need to beat anyone- plus the experience to know
when to use each one.
We start our tennis early with pre program on and off court
activities. On court we have private lessons, warm-ups, and ball machines
available for those who desire even more than our daily programs offer. Matchmaking,
round robins, and clinics are part of our daily post program activities.
Our beautiful 8 soft courts allow you to work hard without the pain derived
from hard surfaces. Off court at the resort you can treat yourself to sports
massage, relax poolside, or workout with our professional training staff.
At Killington Tennis we don't just have the best instruction
in the Northeast, we have a passion for the game and play as often as we
can. Our experienced staff have the teaching credentials and skills to help
you move up a level. They also have the knowledge and experience to know
the personal effort players require to stay on top of their game as skill
levels and bodies change.
