Jie Zheng

Zheng Jie

This is a Chinese name; the family name is Zheng.

Zheng Jie (born July 5, 1983) is a Chinese professional female tennis player. She was born in Cheng Du, Sichuan, China. She made her WTA rankings debut in 2000. She turned professional in 2003 and ended the year for the first time in the top 100.

Zheng has won one career singles title: 2005 Hobart and two doubles titles.

In 2006, Zheng and her partner Yan Zi reached the final of the women's doubles event at the Australian Open and became the first chinese tennis players - male or female - to reach a final of a Grand Slam tournament.
