Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch

Set amidst flowering cactus, breathtaking sunsets, and framed against the majestic McDowell Mountains lies the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch. Stay at one of the most distinctive resorts in Scottsdale. Hyatt features many amenities desired in Scottsdale resorts: a 2.5-acre "water playground", 10 swimming pools and a three-story water slide.

Tennis


The tennis program at Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch is managed by International Tennis U.S.A. (ITUSA). Meghann Shaughnessy, currently ranked #18 by the WTA (World Tennis Association) Tour, makes the Hyatt her "home court," and serves as the resort's resident Touring Pro. Shaughnessy is coached by he founder and Executive Director of ITUSA, Rafael Font de Mora.

Under the direction of Font de Mora, guests enjoy an intimate resort experience while playing recreational or competitive tennis. Unique video training systems include a CD Rom customized to show the player's beginning and ending levels of play, analysis of their strokes, slow motion video, special text and animated graphics.

ITUSA and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch will create customized tennis programs and events for meeting groups including clinics, tournaments, exhibitions, Play the Pro and tennis skills challenge to the fun of including a celebrity in a group program, to name just a few.

Font de Mora was born in Valencia, Spain and competed on the men's pro tour from 1985 to 1988, and was a tennis analyst for NBC during the Barcelona Olympics. Having developed a successfully proven method of teaching tennis from beginners to professional players, he has established tennis facilities and training programs for all ages and levels throughout Europe and South America.

Hours of Operation:


Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Four courts are available for guest use.

Two of these courts are lighted for night play.

Court Rental Fee: $25 per hour

Ball Machine Rental: $35 per hour (includes court rental fee)

Racquet Rental: $6 per hour

Private Lesson : $75 per hour

Hit with the pro: $50 per hour

Drop-in Guest Clinic: $60 for one guest

$30 per person for two guests

$20 per person for three or more guests

Tennis racquets and balls are now available at the bell

stand after hours.
