Tennis Program
The Amelia Island Plantation tennis program has been recognized
as one of the finest in the world offering a variety of tournaments and facilities
that cater to the whole family and every level of play. 23 Har-Tru, fast-dry
clay courts are shaded beneath majestic live oaks in a beautiful Florida
setting. You'll enjoy day or night play and top notch features, like the
concave wooden backboard and ball machines that can provide everything from
a topspin lob to a smash down the center line.
Racquet Park
Racquet Park at Amelia Island Plantation...the name itself
creates anticipation. Since its grand opening in 1974, Racquet Park has hosted
some of the greatest names in tennis history. Graf, Navratilova, Evert, Hingis,
Seles, Sampras, Connors and Agassi are among the legends that have graced
its famed center court. The Women's Tennis Association has chosen our breathtaking
island resort as home to the Bausch & Lomb Championships. Each spring,
this televised premier event reaffirms the national caliber of the resort's
tennis facilities and favor among the world's top pros.
Format:
Thursday through Sunday with three hours
of instruction each day
Schools will include:
4 three hour tennis clinics 4:1 ratio
1/2 hour tennis lesson
Video tape analysis
Lunch each day
Complimentary court time and use of the
ball machine
Schools are conducted at Amelia Island Plantation's Racquet
Park, home of the Bausch & Lomb Tennis Tournament.
