A visionary project, Costão do Santinho was the first
resort in the south of the country to be created to harmonize self-sustainable
tourism with nature and the local population. The resort sprawls across an
area of one million m² (10 million sq.ft.), of which 750 thousand m²
(8,000 sq. ft.) are Atlantic Forest, rocky coastlines and dunes all preserved
in a literally untouchable Private Natural Patrimony Reserve. Costão
do Santinho is considered as to be one of the largest resorts in Brazil and
the best one in the south of the country and is renowned for the quality
of its services, its international standards and elegance, charming atmosphere
and refinement.
Tennis players can look forward to 8, professionally staffed
red-clay courts that are part of a larger sports complex with soccer fields,
multi-sport courts, a climbing wall, and bowling alley. Every July the resort
stages two weeks of tennis clinics featuring such notable Basilian tennis
players as Carlos Kirmayr, Thomaz Koch, Marcelo Rebelo “Cascata”
and Carlos Goffi and there are other events during selected weeks of the
year.
