Catherine Tanvier
Born in May 1965, French tennis star Catherine Tanvier emerged
in the mid-1980s as one of the brightest young talents in the game. Peaking
at number 20 in 1984, her elegant game lacked the power needed to dominate
at the highest level, but she continued to play on the WTA tour for another
decade, winning 6 doubles titles.
