The resort sprawls over 7,000 acres on the southern coast
of the Dominican Republic, about 70 miles east of Santo Domingo. It contains
an astonishing array of recreation, including a private beach, three 18-hole
Pete Dye golf courses, a fitness center and equestrian and polo grounds.
Accommodations consist of some 450 spacious rooms and two-to-four-bedroom
villas. Its most unusual feature, however, is Altos de Chavon, an artist's
colony built to resemble a medieval stone village, with working studios,
an amphitheater for occasional concerts and four appealing restaurants.
No other resort that will guarantee you a competitive tennis
game at any time of the day or night on any day of the year on the 13 clay
courts of the hilltop La Terrazza Tennis Center. Casa de Campo can do that
because tennis director Emilio Vazquez has assembled a very large tennis
staff—more than 70 counting the landscape gardeners and maintenance
crew—among them 9 teaching pros, 16 aspiring instructors, who are available
as hitting partners whenever another guest cannot be found, and 32 ball boys,
usually drawn from the local junior program.

The La Terraza Tennis Center offers 13 immaculately
Maintained Har-Tru courts (10 Lighted), the finest equipment and staff a
high-level of service. La Terraza is one of the finest tennis complexes in
the Caribbean. Set high on a hill, the courts offer players a spectacular
view of the ocean. The 70+ member staff caters to the needs of each
guest with insightful individual instruction. Equipment is available.
Available on site is a complete Pro Shop, snack bar, swimming pool and spectators
deck. Hours: 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

Lodging consists of hotel rooms and suites, located near
the lobby and main pool, 2-to-4-bedroom villa homes, and 3-to-4-bedroom EXCEL
club villas. Homes and villas include assigned maid and use of a 4-passenger
touring cart. Rates below do service charges and taxes. Discounted package
rates often available May-September.
