package includes the 4th night FREE in a deluxe oceanview room, unlimited
court time, daily lesson, round robin and drill lessons. The package is available
April 16 - December 19, 2002. You can also choose our tournament package,
available April 25 - 28 and receive the fourth night free, unlimited court
time and the excitement of competitive play with fellow guests and locals.
More court action comes in May when our tennis pro, Don DeWilde, will offer
a tennis school.
The Buccaneer features eight Laykold courts, two with championship
lights, called "the best in the Virgin Islands" (Tennis Magazine)
and a fully stocked pro-shop. Two annual tournaments, the Virgin Islands
Championships in July, and the Junior Championship in October, plus weekly
round robin tournaments.Not only does Buccaneer tennis pro Don deWilde know
tennis, he knows the game of most of the Buccaneer's repeat guests and local
players. After all, he's been the resort's tennis pro for more than 20 years.
A graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia,
Don bounced around a few Caribbean resorts before finding his home on the
sunny shores of St. Croix. Don feels two things make tennis at The Buccaneer
special: the opportunity to play outdoors 365 days a year in the spectacular
setting, and the clientele.
